St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a SharePoint Administrator for the Management of Information Systems Department (MIS) which is located in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida.

Management of Information Systems (MIS) is a General Services Department which is responsible for providing technology services and support to the Board of County Commissioners as well as services to the Clerk of Courts, Court Administration, St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and Tax Collector's Office. Some of those services include supporting various Microsoft Servers such as File and Print, Web, Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Remote Desktop Services and SQL. MIS uses VMware for virtualization and MobileIron for Mobile Device Management (MDM). The MIS Department supports approximately 1,500 end users with various devices - desktops, laptops, tablets, Toughbooks, printers and cell phones. MIS has various physical server hardware including Storage Array Network (SAN) storage, Disk-to-Disk Backup Storage and other server hardware.
Employees work in a team oriented environment in order to provide the best services they can to a wide spectrum of County personnel. This position is part of the Operations Team which configures and supports the various servers and implements systems with other team members.
The ideal SharePoint Administrator candidate must possess St. Johns County's core values of compassion, innovation and trustworthiness and must work well in a collaborative team environment, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to prioritize workload in an efficient manner. Some of the specific tasks include but are not limited to:
* Support of County's SharePoint Online Systems along with patches and upgrades
* Creation, configure and customize SharePoint sites based on business requirements
* Monitor SharePoint performance and troubleshooting issues
Candidates for the SharePoint Administrator are encouraged to apply if they meet the following minimum qualifications:
* Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related IT field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, certification, and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities to thoroughly understand and perform the major duties of the position.
* Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for a minimum of one year.
* A candidate may be designated as a Senior SharePoint Administrator and placed at pay grade 19 with possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, or related IT field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, certification, and training. In addition, have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working directly within the SharePoint Administration field.
* Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles used while assigned to this position.
* Proficiency in configuring and customizing sites, lists, and workflows.
* Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills to serve others.
* Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.
