You'll lead a team of talented craftsmen, guiding them with your expertise and inspiring them to achieve excellence in every bend, fold, and weld.Responsibilities:
- Oversee the assembly of sheet metal components according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate production schedules, allocate resources, and optimize workflow to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Train, mentor, and motivate assembly technicians to enhance their skills and performance.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to identify defects or deviations and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to troubleshoot issues, refine processes, and improve product design for manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among all team members.
- Maintain inventory levels, track material usage, and assist in procurement activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other related fields AND/OR 5+ years of overall manufacturing experience
- 3+ Years of manufacturing management/supervisory experience
- 5+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal forming techniques, equipment, and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication equipment such as shears, brakes, punches, and welding machines.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
