SKILLS
- The ability to receive and follow instructions from the supervisor and communicate with co-workers
- The ability to adapt to the work environment (fast-pace working environment, prolonged periods of lifting, reaching, bending, and working on scaffolding and overhead structures)
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds at times.
- Possess a strong attention to detail and alert to ensure safety

QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year of relevant experience required
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Be willing and able to travel, if needed
- Strong organizational skills
- A HS diploma/certification will be a plus
- The ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work will be a plus
- The ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand product assignment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Selects appropriate material for each job based on the desired or necessary strength
- Measures, cuts, bends, and shapes sheet metal according to specifications, required dimensions, or directions using various tools (shears, brakes, punches, callipers, rulers, etc...)
- Drill holes into ducts to bolt together
- Polishing metal areas like rough surfaces or the seams and joints between two sheets of metals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including properly storing tools and equipment, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries while working with sheet metal
- Perform other duties as assigned by the sheet-metal Foreman or Supervisor
