Job Summary: CT Mechanical is seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead our team in delivering high-quality HVAC installations. As a Sheet Metal Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of sheet metal work on job sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities: - Understand, comply with, and enforce OSHA, CT Mechanical, and job site safety and work policies and procedures. - Understand, comply with, and enforce Florida Building Code and CT Mechanical best practices. - Receive and properly store deliveries of materials to the job site. - Interpret construction documents, including blueprints, submittals, specifications, material lists, and drawing fittings. - Coordinate the layout of HVAC systems with building structures and other trades using construction documents. - Set hangers, straps, and trapeze, as well as roof curbs and wall sleeves. - Ensure the correct installation of duct work and accessories such as VAVs, fire dampers, louvers, control dampers, and branch take-offs. - Build duct work from half patterns, assemble and hang duct systems, and apply duct sealing mastic. - Prepare duct systems for inspection and pressure tests. - Own and properly use name-brand hand tools and battery drills related to the HVAC trade. - Properly use and care for company-provided equipment, such as ladders, gang boxes, corded power tools, including bandsaws, hammer drills, reciprocating saws, and double cuts. - Input time for Sheet Metal Journeymen and helpers working on the job site. - Assist in handling disciplinary actions when needed. Role Requirements: - OSHA 10 certification. - Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and more than 50 pounds occasionally. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum of 5 years working in HVAC sheet metal in commercial construction. - Ability to read and understand commercial blueprints. - Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a team effectively. - Punctual, alert, and ready for work.
