We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating various sheet metal fabrication equipment, including CNC turret punch presses, plasma equipment, folding tables, press brakes, shears, and other forming equipment. The Sheet Metal Worker will be responsible for interpreting sketches, manufacturing prints, and KOCH sketches to produce high-quality sheet metal components. Shift: 6am-2:30pm (Monday - Friday, possibility of daily OT) Hiring Range: $19.38-$22.17 plus SMW Pension Contribution Responsibilities:
Set up and operate Wiedemann (or comparable) CNC turret punch press and plasma equipment, including editing programs and referencing sketches and/or manufacturing prints. Set up and operate Powerbend (or comparable) CNC folding table, including editing programs and referencing sketches and/or manufacturing prints. Set up and operate press brakes, referencing sketches and/or prints. Set up and operate shears, referencing KOCH sketches and drawings, utilizing shears in the metal fabrication work area. Set up and operate sheet metal forming equipment other than press brakes and folding tables, such as Pittsburgh, roll formers, sheet rollers, cleat edgers, standing seam machine, referencing KOCH sketches and/or drawings. Operate CNC equipment, referencing KOCH sketches and/or drawings, but not requiring editing of programs. Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role.
- Proficient in setting up and operating various sheet metal fabrication equipment.
- Ability to interpret sketches, manufacturing prints, and KOCH sketches.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in sheet metal fabrication or related field.
- Experience with specific equipment mentioned in the job description.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a metal fabrication environment.
