Location: Lincoln,NE, USA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Program Trumpf Punch and Brakes in accordance with the schedule, specifications and quality requirements.
* Create BOMs for sheetmetal components in business software.
* Support operators and Production Manager for the sheetmetal operation as necessary to keep product moving through the sheetmetal fabrication process.
* Follow instructions assigned by the engineers & managers.
* Follow procedures in accordance with the Quality System.
* Schedule work load based on customer orders.
* Keep work areas clean and orderly.
* Troubleshoot for causes of defective products.
* Assist in identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
* Follow and enforce manufacturing safety guidelines. Identify and eliminate safety hazards.
* Support the Quality System and ISO9001:2008 Registration.
* Attends production/custom meetings as requested.
* Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
* Assists the scheduler with planning/scheduling as needed and provide back up the sourcing manager as required
* Backup for the Production Manager in sheetmetal.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to work in a fast paced production environment with multiple product changes during the shift.
* Interpersonal skills.
* Communication skills.
* Use Solidworks and Geist business software as needed.
* Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
* Hand/eye coordination.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical associate's degree preferred.
* Completion of Trumpf Punch Programming and Operating Training preferred.
* Three to five years technical manufacturing experience preferred.
