Job Summary:The Sheeter Operator sets-up and operates the paper sheeter; insuring quality paper is produced at maximum productivity. A Sheeter Operator follows scheduling requirements to ensure there is not time lost on the machine that the product is delivered to. This position also performs additional machine operating, machine maintenance, blade changes, and troubleshooting.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure work produced meets or exceeds quality guidelines.
- Meet all production specifications.
- Read and understand job ticket instructions.
- Accurately fill out all paperwork and enter status entries as required.
- Record all time and materials correctly.
- Have all jobs approved by supervisor or another qualified operator prior to running.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Follow all safety guidelines including job hazard analysis.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Prior continuous work experience.
- Prior experience using pallet jack, computer, hand tools and small machines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to stand/work 12 hours with overtime hours as needed.
- Safety shoes required.
- Hearing protection required.
