Brighter Tomorrows serves domestic violence victims by providing shelter, financial literacy, legal assistance, housing assistance and counseling.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Shelter Assistant at Brighter Tomorrows, Inc. located in Suffolk County, NY. As a Shelter Assistant,, you will assist the Shelter Manager in ensuring that the shelter is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This includes covering shifts as needed. You will create the schedule, ensure safety and compliance including 24-hour staff coverage for the residential site. The Shelter Assistant orders supplies, oversees correspondence and schedules maintenance as needed. This employee supports the Shelter manager in maintaining an environment where residents thrive and staff excel.
