Part-time Deputies provide security for the three District Courts located in Arkansas City and Winfield. Part-time deputies may also be called upon to volunteer for additional functions within the Sheriffs Office.After the testing and selection process has been completed, qualified applicants must attend and pass the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Centers two-week part-time certification program as well as complete field training within the Cowley County Sheriffs Office.
