Job Description

As Lead II, you will play a critical role in overseeing our Team Members and Shift Leads and ensuring a vibrant, professional, and efficient work environment. You will lead by example, setting the standard for excellence and en-chuzey-asm in every aspect of our operations, with a strong focus on enhancing the member experience and team development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead your team and set the example in welcoming, greeting, and interacting with all members, prospective members, and guests. Ability to identify deficits and improve upon current standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with your team to ensure the gym presentation is always extraordinarily clean by completing daily cleaning tasks.
  • Membership sign-ups and prospect tours, answering phones, point-of-sale transactions, managing escalated member concerns, and making and serving smoothies, if applicable.
  • Maintain knowledge and assist members with all amenities, membership information and offerings, fitness programs, and equipment functions.
  • Ensure proper completion of opening and closing responsibilities, breaking employees for lunches and maintaining appropriate staff levels, and completing inventory counts and orders.
  • Supervise member management software reports and process data entry. Manage front desk administrative duties as needed.
  • Train and develop the team by providing coaching, ensuring timely completion of online training courses, and provide feedback to management for performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with the management team to onboard and recruit new team members.
  • Qualifications

    Required

  • At least 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Previous experience leading a team.
  • Ability to work varied hours regularly, including weekends and opening/closing shifts.
  • Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to receive and deliver feedback.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities.
  • Teamwork-based work style.
  • Physical requirements:
    • Able to read, write, and speak clearly in English.
    • Touring the gym: walking and climbing stairs.
    • Bending, kneeling, and repetitive arm movement.
    • Standing for long periods.
    • Computer operations.
    • Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Preferred

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Personal interest in Fitness.
  • Volunteer/community involvement.
