YOUR ROLE:

As Shift Leader you will be an integral member of the management team entrusted with assisting with supervision of day-to-day operations during designated work shifts. You'll be tasked with guiding and supporting staff members to ensure the shift runs smoothly and efficiently. As Shift Leader you will ensure that assigned staff tasks are carried out correctly and efficiently. You will provide essential guidance, training, coaching, and support to employees, fostering a positive work environment. As Shift Leader you will uphold quality standards, enhance customer satisfaction, and you may be assigned the responsibility to address customer issues all of which contribute greatly to the overall success of the business.

Great pay! (up to $19 per based on experience/ability)

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 1 to 2 years of restaurant experience preferred
  • 1 year of management and/or leadership experience preferred
  • Must have strong focus on high quality customer service
  • Must have good verbal and written communications skills
  • Must have good listening skills and actively listen to those speaking to them
  • Must have good problem solving skills and experience
  • Must have an outgoing and energetic personality
  • Must exhibit time management and organization skills
  • Enjoy a fast paced work environment
  • Must have a strong work ethic and accountability
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers who walk through our doors.
  • Talking, joking, & bantering with customers is not only encouraged, it's required. That's the Jersey Mike's way!

  • Creating a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service, ensuring high food quality, and ensuring customer and employee safety.
  • Maintaining overall cleanliness of restaurant
  • Prepare and serve beverages and food items consistently by adhering to all recipe standards.
  • Ensures compliance with food and operational safety standards, and adherence with appropriate company policies and industry regulations.
  • May be assigned responsibilities to open the store, close the store, prep work, and cleanup adhering to guidelines at all times.
  • Assists with supervision of assigned staff including employee scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels, training, and ongoing coaching support.
  • Assists with monitoring and communicating food and supplies inventories.
  • Ensures the smooth transition between shifts by communicating critical and routine equipment, food, and facility statuses.
  • Ensures that all tasks are completed efficiently and within the allotted time.
  • Ensures customer issues are handled with professionalism in an effective and timely manner.
  • Ensures proper utilization and maintenance of equipment and the facility.
  • Ensures adherence to all food and facility safety standards and adherence to company policies.
  • Conducts other responsibilities and duties as may be assigned.

  • ServSafe Certification (Required within 90 Days)
  • Food Handler Certificate (Preferred)
