  • Performs all functions of Material Handlers.
  • Supervises daily activity of Material Handlers.
  • Assists Supervisor in coordinating workflow, recommending work assignments.
  • Reviews orders, shipping or receiving notices to determine work sequences.
  • Assigns work and monitors productivity to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, product damage minimization, safety and overall efficiency.
  • Conducts team talks or start-up meetings in conjunction with supervisors.
  • Plans assignments, coordinates and monitors operations within the warehouse to ensure on-time deliveries are achieved, reducing irregularities and damage.
  • Ensures safety in work processes and Team Member performance by supporting company and/or facility safety programs, by educating Team Members, and by ensuring a generally safe work environment.
  • Communicates policies, safety regulations and SOPs to Team Members; follows-up to ensure compliance and consistency; assists in corrective action as necessary and documents the issue and actions taken.
  • Ensures that facility is maintained clean and in an orderly fashion.
  • Ensures that product damage is kept to a minimum.
  • Coaches and counsels Team Members regarding company culture and expectations, job performance, methods of performing job tasks and safety.
  • Informs Supervisor of all operating issues and problems and makes recommendations for corrective action to ensure quality warehouse operations and customer service.

  • Drives vehicles or operates machines or equipment to complete work assignments or to assist workers.
  • Makes recommendations on improving work procedures, building efficiency, customer service levels, work conditions, quality of product and minimizing expenses.
  • Operates a lift truck performing various material handling duties in the facility as requested by Operations Manager or Supervisor.
  • Reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed

  • Attendance - Ability to work required schedule and arrive at work on time. Ability and willingness to work the voluntary/mandatory overtime that is required during all busy seasons

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) year related experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Certificates & Licenses: Forklift Certification
