As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:Providing an excellent guest experienceEnsuring that great food is prepared & servedKeeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautifulControlling inventorySupervising staffBeing a team playerIn addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilitiesSupervising staffPracticing inventory control standardsEnsuring equipment is in proper working order during shiftCompleting paperwork as neededAs a Subway® Team Member, you'll have access to:Brand partnership discountsScholarship OpportunitiesOpportunity to earn University course creditsHands on career experience in a restaurant businessPREREQUISITESEducation : High school diploma or equivalentExperience : A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCommunication and organizational skillsPhysical : Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.*You will receive training on your roles and responsibilities
