We are rapidly expanding and looking for outgoing, happy, responsible, and positive individuals who love ice cream as much as we do to join our ice cream shop family!Position SummaryThe role of the shift Leader is to act as a monitor and enforcer of the day to day operations and procedures, staff supervision and customer experience. The person in this role is essentially an extension of the owners, supporting their goals of assuring happy and satisfied customers, knowledgeable and dependable employees and an exciting, unique and fulfilling customer experience. This person reports to the Shop Manager.Minimum ExpectationsFully support the owner's mission and integrity of the brandFully engage in day to day operations primarily in front of house but with considerations of back of house as well (they work together).Maintain highest shop and kitchen sanitary and cleanliness levelsTreat this position as a responsibility and be accountable for any and all actions, decisions made or direction givenTreat this position as a priority and be excited to be at workSurface concerns or frustrations immediately and directly to shop managerAssume positive intentTake initiativeLead by exampleState food handler's permit requiredDuties and ResponsibilitiesHave knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfactions.Supervise the front end staff during your assigned shiftEnforce opening and closing and shift change procedures during assigned shiftDuring closing shifts, count drawer and correctly prepare deposits, drawer fund and reserve fundsBe knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Lick Honest Ice Creams and what makes our ice cream unique, and share this knowledge with customersAid owners and shop manager in maintaining staff knowledge base for new flavors, preparation methods, etc.Monitor staff and report any staff issues directly to Shop ManagerEnforce schedule and punctualityMonitor staff knowledge, scoop sizes and employee/customer interaction and guide staff as necessaryIdentify any customer issues/complaints and take necessary steps to correct themPerform all other related duties as requestedFollow and enforce company uniform policyFollow all policies and procedures outlined in the company handbookEnsure safe environment within shop by monitoring employee actions and customer behaviorMaintaining privacy in regards to alarm codes, safe codes and all other confidential informationEssential FunctionsHandle public inquiries in a timely and friendly mannerMaintain a flexible schedule based on shop needsMust be available for at least 3 shifts a weekAble to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members (face-to face or by telephone)Able to read and comprehend written materialAble to stand for shifts lasting up to, but not limited to, 8 hours of time on concrete flooringPerform tasks which involve repetitive motion including, but not limited to, the use of arms, hands, wrists, backAble to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controlsManage one's time and the time of othersMonitor and control resources, including but not limited to collecting payments for goods or services, counting and managing till, managing inventoriesLift 50#
