Job Description:
Job Summary:The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team to ensure that all industrial machinery and equipment are in excellent working condition. This role includes planning and coordinating maintenance schedules, managing repairand maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in minimizing downtime and maximizing production efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
    • Assign tasks and monitor the progress and quality of work.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintenance Planning:
    • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
    • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize production disruptions.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Equipment Management:
    • Ensure all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
    • Coordinate and oversee repairs, replacements, and upgrades of equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct safety training for maintenance staff.
    • Perform regular safety inspections and audits.
  • Inventory and Budget Management:
    • Manage maintenance inventory, including spare parts and tools.
    • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget.
    • Source and negotiate with vendors for the best pricing on parts and services.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency.
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions in maintenance processes.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in a variety of environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, as needed.
Working Conditions:
  • This position may require working in a noisy, dusty, and hot or cold environment.
  • Availability to work on-call and respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
