This is an operations Shift Manager position, which supervises a multi- production area on one shift of the operation. The manager will coordinate the short term activities of this area within established guidelines and standards to produce the highest quality, lowest cost product in the safest and most efficient manner.The candidate will facilitate teams of about 12-15 associates on a shift in their area of responsibility and conduct or coordinate the necessary training for both the individual associates and the team. This manager will implement and enforce established policy and strategy. They need someone with demonstrated operational leadership experience over small to medium sized teams, someone who is decisive and cannot be easily swayed.There will be both production and maintenance people on your shift, so any maintenance experience would be a bonus but not a must have. If you have any, even outside of the military or in your day to day life, be prepared to discuss it.Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role. It will be accomplished through developing and maintaining an organization that demonstrates improvement by continuously driving faults lower using Continuous Improvement tools to help steer team toward solution.You will need to ensure all incoming Associates (Internal and External) have proper training and tools to perform their job and ensure each Associate understands and receives feedback on what is expected of them.You will leads by utilizing the company's 5 Principles (Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom) as their compass for decision making at the site. By engaging with other Shift Managers and the Leadership Team, the Shift Manager is able to be in the know, make decisions and inform and steer their team to success by collaborating and creating an engaging environment where performance can thrive.This is a 12 hour shift position that rotates between days and nights and your normal shift could look like this. Work: Monday, TuesdayOff: Wednesday, ThursdayWork: Friday, Saturday, SundayOff: Monday, TuesdayWork: Wednesday, ThursdayOff: Friday, Saturday, SundayBase salary, plus a12% bonus.
