This operations shift manager position supervises a multi-production area on one shift of operation. This manager will coordinate the short-term activities of this area within established guidelines and standards to produce the highest quality, lowest cost product in the safest and most efficient manner. The Shift Manager will facilitate teams of about 30 associates on a shift in his/her area of responsibility and conduct or coordinate the necessary training for both the individual associates and the team. This manager will implement and enforce the established policy and strategy.They need someone with demonstrated operational leadership experience over small to medium sized teams, someone who is decisive and cannot be easily swayed. You will need to show you have experience leading, coaching, developing and growing teams and the energy level to keep the team productive and on track. There will be both production and maintenance people on your shift so any maintenance experience would be a bonus but not a must have. If you have any, even outside of the military or in your day-to-day life, be prepared to discuss. Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role. It will be accomplished through developing and maintaining an organization that demonstrates improvement by continuously driving faults lower using Continuous Improvement tools to help steer the team toward solution.You will need to ensure all incoming Associates (internal and external) have proper training and tools to perform their job and ensure each Associate understands and receives feedback on what is expected of them.The Shift Manager leads by utilizing the company's five principles (Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom) as their compass for decision making at the site. By engaging with other Shift Managers and the Leadership Team the Shift Manager is able to be in the know, make decisions and inform and steer their team to success by collaborating and creating an engaging environment where performance can thrive.This is a 12-hour night shift position that works from 5:30 pm to 6 am and your shift schedule will look something like this:Work: Monday, TuesdayOff: Wednesday, ThursdayWork: Friday, Saturday, SundayOff: Monday, TuesdayWork: Wednesday, ThursdayOff: Friday, Saturday, SundayBase salary plus a 12% bonus.
