We are an employer of choice for anyone interested in a meaningful career in the social services field. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervision and Guidance:
- Provide direct supervision and guidance to safety staff members.
Camera Surveillance:
- Maintain constant surveillance of the facility's interior and exterior using camera systems.
- Monitor feeds for suspicious activity, breaches, or safety concerns.
- Report security incidents or anomalies to appropriate personnel.
Enforcement of Facility Rules:
- Enforce facility rules and regulations consistently and fairly.
- Address violations promptly and conduct thorough searches of residents upon arrival to prevent contraband entry.
Incident Investigation:
- Conduct thorough investigations into facility incidents or interactions.
- Collect evidence, interview witnesses, and document findings.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations for corrective action, documenting all reports in the CARES data system, particularly Priority 1 (P1) reports.
Fire Safety Director:
- Act as the designated Fire Safety Director.
- Staff the Fire Command Station during emergencies or drills.
Intake Procedures:
- Perform intake procedures for residents in the absence of social services.
- Collect necessary information and documents from incoming residents.
Availability:
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and provide coverage during special events, emergencies, or staffing shortages.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a new and updated security license.
- Completion of 8-hour and 16-hour security training courses.
- Possession of F02 and F-80 certifications.
- CPR certification.
- Training in NARCAN usage for opioid overdose situations.
- Previous experience in security or safety supervision roles.
- Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and emergency response techniques.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems and fire safety regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods
- Ability to write a clear and concise incident report
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation
