JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership and Supervision Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 15+ employees including staffing, planning, timecard approvals, PTO/coverage scheduling and approval, employee hiring and retention, performance reviews, coaching and development, counseling, and corrective action plans.
- Direct daily, weekly, and monthly priorities (facility housekeeping, PSM tasks, inspections, facility rounds, work orders) for onsite Operation teams to complete in support of facility operation, ensuring that all assignments are completed safely, timely, and accurately.
- Conduct frequent facility audits to ensure quality completion of Lock-Out-Tagout, permitting, inspections, facility housekeeping and operating/maintenance procedures
- Spend ~30% of your time in the field (control room/outside) ensuring tasks are being performed safely and efficiently, providing solutions for improvements
- Enforce policies and procedures that ensure safe and consistent execution of job plans and equipment maintenance, maintain working conditions in accordance with all quality and safety protocols, and develop employees' functional skills and capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong collaboration and working relationships with other departments to achieve results, including Maintenance, I&E, Measurement, Engineering/Construction, Commercial, ES&H, and PSM.
- Develop and maintain a positive organizational culture that values professional development and strives for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate initiative, ownership, and accountability towards best-in-class operational performance with respect to safety, environmental, and reliability.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily operational performance at the Red Hills complex
- Monitor and manage plant KPI performance, including train throughput and utilization, equipment reliability, NGL recovery targets, product quality and specifications, and fuel gas consumption.
- Ensure that facility operations maintain compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines/requirements for local, state, and federal jurisdictions (OSHA/PSM, EPA/RMP).
- Represent facility (and/or assign delegates) in PSM audits, PSSR's, MOC's, incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA) studies, and hazard and operability (HAZOP) and process hazard analysis (PHA) studies with field experience and operational expertise.
- Ensure timely closeout of compliance action items (CPA/PSM/RMP) and work orders prior to due dates.
- All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Leadership: strong team-builder with a demonstrated ability to lead, delegate, and achieve results through others. Planning: forward thinking leader than can look ahead over at least a 14-day period and prepare action plans to achieve desired goals and objectives. Problem Solving: aptitude to not only identify issues, obstacles, or problems but also develop timely and value-added solutions.
- Sound judgement and decision-making abilities (both data driven and behavioral) are vital to success in this role.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present, persuade, and collaborate at the leadership level.
- Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum experience of 5 years in oil and gas midstream plant operations with increasing responsibilities.
- Valid driver license required.
- Position reports daily to Red Hills complex, working a 14/14 schedule
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Maximo, etc.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
- Able to work in close quarters: work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
- Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines: eye protection, footwear, 4-gas monitor, flame-resistant clothing).
- Regular and reliable attendance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience operating and/or supervising a midstream facility with multiple gas processing trains.
- Prior experience operating and/or supervising a sour midstream facility with significant H2S concentrations.
- Knowledge of amine treatment and TEG dehydration.
- Knowledge of cryogenic processing and propane refrigeration.
