Job Title: Shift Supervisor - Food Service Location: SUNY Niagara, Niagara Falls, NY Pay Rate: $19 - $20 per hour Employment Type: Seasonal (School Year September - May) Hours: 24-30 hours per week Availability: Some weekend and evening shifts required Job Description: Personal Touch Food Service is seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our Food Service team at SUNY Niagara. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations during their shift, ensuring a high level of service, and maintaining a positive dining experience for students and staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff during assigned shifts.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in training and onboarding new employees.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any service issues promptly.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with the management team to improve service efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within food service or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is a plus.
- Serve Safe certification
