You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits and competitive pay in addition to growth opportunities and excellent retirement options.Job Summary:The Laborer will be responsible for supporting a variety of general tasking.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:Laborers perform mainly physical labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials.Performs such duties as a fire watch, cable puller, and as an electrician's helper.Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of equipment.Complete simple routine tasks under close supervision from lead type personnel.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Must be a US citizen.High School diploma, or equivalent and minimum 1 year of shipboard installation experience.Must be flexible with work availability - standard hours are 40 per week, Monday through Friday; however, overtime day, night or swing shift may be required.Desired Qualifications:OSHA 10 7615 Training (Certificate or OSHA issue card) required by NAVSEA Standard Item 009-74.Cableway Improvement Program (CIP) IAW NAVSEA 9304.1.Physical Demands:Ability to work in a shipboard industrial environment.Ability to lift, transport and carry (heavy) equipment and cabling up to 50lbs.Ability to work on and climb ladders, aboard ships, in shipyards, outdoors in all types of weather conditions and in cramped spaces.We are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
