What You Will Contribute: The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for ensuring customer orders are packaged and shipped accurately and on-time, by exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks. This position will ensure that incoming orders are received into stock, part numbers and quantities are confirmed to appropriate paperwork and routed to the correct department based on priority level. Inventory will be transported and transacted between locations as needed to support flow of product between functional areas.
Job Duties: - Responsible for pre-packaging and/or final packaging of customer orders.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and backorders to accurately process orders using appropriate computer software.
- Use appropriate packaging materials to ensure all products/parts are properly packaged to prevent damage and/or loss.
- Verify packing lists, purchase orders, Bill of Ladings, or other documents to determine priorities, accuracies, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules and/or customer requirements.
- Function as a liaison between the shipping staff, internal departments, and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders, including arranging transportation schedules with carriers.
- Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify proper personnel for maintenance when needed.
- Periodically load/unload freight and/or packages from delivery/ pickup vehicles and replenish shipping materials.
- Perform pickups of finished product or parts for transport to the shipping department.
- Maintain an organized layout and safe work environment.
- Receive incoming materials, processing in appropriate computer software, verifying part numbers and quantities of product to appropriate paperwork.
- Coordinate material movement both in the appropriate computer system as determined systematically and physically with use of a forklift, tugger, hand jack, and pushcart to deliver product to appropriate department as needed to support production needs.
Education and Experience: - High School/GED required
- 0-1+ years of prior warehouse experience desired
Qualifications: - Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) preferred
- Good communication skills, verbal and written preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail required

- Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Depending on the assigned department, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and complete an audiogram test
