DescriptionBase Pay:$16.50 per hour (additional $1 shift differential for 2nd shift)Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Shipping and Receiving operations includes but is not limited to:
- Moving material utilizing equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, carts.
- Fluid material transfers
- Utilizing data input devices to report materials movements such as computer keyboard scan guns, or PLCs.
- Utilizes ERP\MRP scheduling system documents to identify material to be moved such as a pick list, packing list, load notice, or other
- Loads and unloads trailers, rail cars, or other.
- Conducts inventory activities daily, monthly, quarterly, or as requested.
Performs all work according to correct procedure. Verifies materials meet specifications by physically reviewing and or comparing information to a standard. Performs all work according to safety policies and procedures (both in-house and regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job. Maintains open line of communication between Team Lead, Peers, and management by communicating with others as needed to coordinate activities of individual departments. Attends training and meetings as scheduled. Recommends measures to improve area operations, safety, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency, safety, or quality of department or product. Assists to troubleshoot and resolve work problems. Conducts 5S and Housekeeping in the work area. Participates in the non-conformance process and assists to implement corrective action activities. Supports other departments as requested (grease blending, lubricants blending, packaging, and Quality). Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to peers or managers. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (US and Metric system), using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Ability to enter data into software utilizing a keyboard and or scanning device. Ability to lookup information in an ERP\MRP software program or spreadsheet.
