Shipping/Receiving AssociateMonday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pmSalary Range: $18.50-$20.00/hr.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPackage customer product sufficiently to make sure it is protected during shipmentProcess any customer orders that arrive from production throughout the day.Build crates used for product shipments as neededOperates forklift or other power-driven equipment to load or move materials. Must be willing and able to become certified and perform the proper forklift techniques.Maintain shipping and receiving forms, records, and logsCreate bill of ladings, assemble shipping documentation, and contact carrier as neededCreate delivery and post goods issuedProcess orders in the UPS system or other systems as requiredReceive and unload incoming freightFollow all Regal Rexnord Safety procedures.Follow approved procedures in receiving, material storage, shipping preparation, order picking, and order staging.Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, workstations, area neat and orderly; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.CERTIFICATIONFork Truck Certification.ESSENTIAL PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICSDependabilityDetail-orientedAbility to prioritizeDecision making and solving problemsIndependenceAdaptability/FlexibilityTeam playerArea ExpertEducation and ExperienceMust have a High School Diploma or equivalentA valid licenseBasic computer skills requiredPreferred but not requiredWork experience in a manufacturing environmentPrevious shipping and receiving experiencePrevious experience with building materials (for building crates/boxes)Previous administrative experience with UPS, FedExPrevious experience with document control and validationExperience with SAP or an ERPREASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
