Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.What You'll Do as a Shipping And Receiving Clerk:Oversee and manage activities at the shipping dock to ensure safe and efficient freight loadingDispatch incoming orders and assign them to the warehouse teamVerify the accuracy of orders picked by the warehouse teamEnter data such as addresses, quantities, and weights to complete shipping paperworkEnsure the correct shipping methods are used for customer ordersMaintain a shipment database to keep orders updated and provide billing information to customer service and finance teamsNotify the supervisor of any major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutionsPrepare bills of lading for shipmentsUse a hand truck or other equipment to transport materials on the shipping dock as neededOperate a forklift to load trucks or railroad carsEnsure product handling and delivery meet customer expectationsKeep accurate shipment records and file packing slips according to company proceduresPerform other related duties as assignedLoading/unloading products from trucksReading packing slipsCounting CartonsMove freight to stagging area either by hand or pallet jackLoad trucksAvailable Shifts:Shift Timings: 3rd Shift (Night)Job Requirements:Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailBasic understanding of truck freight ratesSolid knowledge of safety policies and best practicesAbility to lift 50 pounds repeatedlyMust be able to lift 50+ lbs consistentlyMust be able to count, read and writeMust arrive on time and have perfect attendanceBackground check and drug screening requiredReady to take control of your work life?Complete our application to join the PeopleReady team today!Employees and their eligible dependents are offered MedicalAndDentalAndVision insurance and short term disability, in addition to other programs [,as well as number of paid days off andAndor more generous paid sick leave days].
