- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of material, invoices, orders, or other records
- Account for quantities and case sizes
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
- Sign invoices ensuring everything was received as ordered
- Unload pallets and place in appropriate stock locations
- Maintain inventory records; keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments in compliance with department procedures and company standards
- Route items to departments in a timely manner
- Keep workplace neat, clean and organized
- Deliver packages or other items requested to departments
- Pull product requests and load on cart
- Spot check inventory; high-dollar and regular inventory items
- Assist with ending inventory; manually input stock and turn in to manager
- Report to senior manager any discrepancies or problems requiring resolution
- Determine method of shipment. Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintain database on incoming/outgoing shipments, as necessary
- Participate fully in company health and safety programs and comply with all company OSHA policies and procedures
- Wear and/or use personal protective equipment, when and how instructed
- Report hazardous conditions to management
- Report any job-related injury or illness to management, and seek treatment promptly
- Perform other duties as assigned
