Job Description:
DescriptionMove For Hunger is seeking a part-time Shipping and Receiving Clerk for up to 25 hours per week to work at our office/warehouse in Neptune City, NJ. This position is not eligible for remote/telework. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to manage the flow of goods in and out of our facility, ensure accurate inventory tracking, and assist with data entry tasks. Responsibilities include managing incoming and outgoing shipments, documenting inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized stockroom. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will occasionally oversee volunteers in the warehouse and complete other tasks as assigned. This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and will report to the Administrative Assistant and COO.YOU ARE:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Shipping and Receiving
  • Process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering shipments, and distributing or storing of items.
  • Prepare Welcome Kits and Refill Kits for shipment, maintaining inventory of the items used within each kit.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse for efficient retrieval and tracking of inventory.
  • Package and prepare merchandise for storage or shipment, including moving and lifting items on and off shelves, using stairs.
  • Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space.
  • Maintain accurate records of goods shipped and received, preparing regular reports for management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve shipping-related issues and customer complaints.
Inventory Management & Data Entry
  • Manage shipment tracking and data entry using Salesforce for shipments
  • Manage inventory management in Sortly.
  • Manage Project tasks using Asana.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory, including weight receipt audits as directed.
  • Order and manage supplies, collateral, and event materials as needed.
Volunteer and Event Support
  • Assist with on-site Volunteer Days, coordinating activities, and engaging with participants as a representative of Move For Hunger.
  • Occasionally attend or represent Move For Hunger at in-person local events.
General Administrative Support
  • Support other organizational tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience in shipping, receiving, inventory management, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce or a CRM is a bonus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Comfortable without restriction with repetitive motions, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
BenefitsPart Time position, ineligible for benefits. Salary base starts at $18-00 to $20.00 per hour.
