The primary responsibility of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is maintaining the influx and outflow of parts. The Clerk receives, stores, and issues material inventory for the plant. This position also unloads andstores material in the proper locations and performs receiving transactions in a timely manner, as well as ships, quotes, and audits shipments for the facility. This role is responsible for managing daily product and material movement throughout the facility and performs system transactions while communicating potential supply problems to supervisor and purchasing to minimize production impacts.A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic and communication skills to ensure all needs are met.RESPONSIBILITIESRegular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Receive shipments and ensure accuracy of those shipments. Unload trucks with forklift and store inventory in the proper location. Help maintain accurate inventory counts. Manage inventory parts and supplies. Issue material to plant wide personnel and accurately perform system transactions. Quote and book product shipments. Prepare shipments and load trucks for transport. Communicate potential supply problems to supervisor and purchasing department. Enter information into system (Epicor). Other duties as required and assigned.REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 1-year recent shipping and receiving or inventory experience in a manufacturing environment required. Minimum of 1-year recent forklift experience required. Basic math skills required. Strong problem solving and analytical skills required. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel spreadsheets. ERP system experience preferred (Epicor). Strong organizational and follow-up skills required. Extreme attention to detail required.
