Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the incoming shipments at our Scenery Hill facility. If you have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently while continuing to communicate with coworkers, we want to hear from you Please note that this position is located at our Scenery Hill location, however, the initial 4-week training period will be held in Canonsburg, PA. Key Responsibilities: Creates 'COA/BOL's' paperwork correctly in a sufficient amount of time. Converts pre-receipts into receipts containing locations and truckload weights provided. Maintains accurate electronic and/or paper files to optimize quality, service and efficiency in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintains a productive and respectful two-way dialogue with freight drivers. Maintain accurate inventory records and track shipments using our inventory management system. Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth operations. Operates in multiple systems and manage multiple screens at once. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Assist with other office/plant duties as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in manufacturing, shipping, and/or receiving is a plus. Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a metals or manufacturing environment, or general office experience. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently as well as with a team. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Proficient in using computer systems. Data entry experience. Ability to work in a high-pressure and fast paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Microsoft Excel experience is required.
