About the role The position will sit within our Operations team and will be responsible for receiving and inspecting of deliveries, safe unloading and storage, and inventory control and management. Will ensure the accurate and efficient movement of all materials to and from the plants/lines in compliance with all relevant Company operating procedures and SHE legislation. Along with picking of stock for dispatch and safe loading of vehicles outbound. Key responsibilities Guarantee efficient running of the warehouse/loading areas ensuring the safety of colleagues and visitors at all times, through compliance with all applicable SHE legislation and company operating procedures. Receive incoming goods completion in a timely and accurate manner. Book stock onto system and accurate storage of materials. Will safely and efficiently move materials to and from the production areas, including tanker off-loading of incoming materials. Responsible for processing all documentation and system transactions timely and accurately. Store, stack and distribute according to company procedures. Work with Purchasing and Planning colleague to book deliveries inbound and outbound to ensure smooth running of the warehouse. Make sure compliance to the correct stock control standards by routine stock checks of finished goods and by conducting audits. Perform Cycle checks at agreed intervals and monitor / report and progress/write off Shelf Life products. Support and control the annual company stock checks on a daily basis. Interact with other departments to establish reasons for stock inaccuracies and space requirements. Carry out daily inspections of Fork Lift Truck / MHE and report any maintenance requirements to the chain of command. Maintain a high standard of Responsible Care and housekeeping consistent with all applicable Company and legislative requirements (e.g. OSHA, COSHH, HSE, IPPC). Positively represent the company and department by working effectively with internal and external colleagues and ensuring the provision of a consistently high service at all times. Creating dispatch paperwork and allocating stock. Create and issue pick sheets. Consideration of dangerous goods and ensuring SB compliance. Perform any other tasks reasonably requested to meet business objectives. About you The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in logistics, warehouse/stores environment, forklift experience, knowledge of forklift/material handling, good safety record and safety mindset, high quality standards, effective and professional communication skills. Must be able to maintain valid forklift operator license, be reliable, flexible, team player, able to work under own initiative with great attention to detail, analytical with strong integrity and personal ethics aligned to Scott Bader principles. Prefer knowledge of how to effectively work within cross functional teams, experience working in chemical industry using computerized stock management systems and RF guns and undergone health and safety training. MS office Suite proficient, inventory management, Routine reporting, process and flow improvement mindset. Salary & benefits: The salary for the position will be dependent upon experience.
