Company Overview:

This company is a global force in the catalyst processing industry. This company provides refineries, gas processing facilities, petrochemical, and chemical plants with a wide variety of catalyst processing services and products including, but not limited to regeneration and/or reactivation of spent catalysts, pre-activation (ex-situ sulfiding) of fresh hydro processing catalysts, catalyst inventory management and waste management.

Position Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting the warehouse by performing the follow essential duties and responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all receipts and shipments according to the logistic daily schedule.
  • Receive paperwork (bill of lading or Waste Manifest and packing list) from drivers and verifies it matches receiving log. Work to resolve issues with Customer Service or HSE.
  • Oversee off-site shipment by visual inspection.
  • Track inbound/outbound trucks by properly logging arrival and departure.
  • Maintain all original shipping and receiving paperwork until completed by warehouse personnel.
  • Receiving and shipping normal truck loads in inventory management system (IMS)
  • Initiate bin lists.
  • Review all orders with the Warehouse Lead to ensure that all specific customer needs are met prior to shipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate Inventory Management System ensures that inflow data and outflow data are accurate and updated in a timely manner (24 hours).
  • Responsible for receiving all plant deliveries (e.g.: maintenance parcels, mail vendors).
  • Ensure accurate delivery papers and ensure that purchase orders and deliveries match.
  • Manage daily operations by coordinating, scheduling, and optimizing incoming and outgoing loads working with customer service to hourly schedule loads.
  • Ensure inventory is properly stored, tracked, and shipped at third party vendor sites.
  • RCRA Daily/Weekly facility inspections.
  • Manage hazardous waste shipments.
  • Modify incorrect data in IMS if applicable.
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities in the absence of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
  • Attending all training (technical, logistics, safety, environmental, etc.) as required.
  • Other projects and duties, as assigned.

Backup for the Lead Warehouse Technician role:

  • Confer with other department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with production, customer service, sales, engineering or purchasing.
  • After warehouse personnel physical check on lot, solves the issues with Customer Service.
  • Perform spot inspection of trucks from time to time.
  • Make requests to the Plant Administrator to order supplies as necessary, or make orders as needed.
  • Modify incorrect data in IMS if applicable.
  • Accountable for creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Schedule with Production Manager when product stored at offsite storage must be brought back to be treated.
  • Manage and processes daily cycle counts of all inventory. All storage locations (at company storage or third-party storage) must be counted three times per year (from database to physical product), to check the accuracy of IMS inventory. Provide root cause analysis for all inventory inconsistencies and ensures that corrective actions are performed, and updates IMS accordingly.
  • Initiate and manage chemical disposal (hazardous waste and non- hazardous waste disposal).
  • Assist warehouse team on technical issues.
  • Fill out information in the check list for loading trucks given to warehouse technician be completed.
  • Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Also takes direction from Warehouse Manager and / or Production management team if that shipping schedule needs to be adjusted.

Travel:

This position may require occasional travel between the third-party warehouse storage vendors and the Plant.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no Supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • 2-3 years of experience in warehouse processes, shipping and/or receiving.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must be willing to sign a company non-compete and company Patent & Trade Secret agreement upon first day of employment.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background screening and pre-employment physical.
  • Associates degree from two-year college or 5-7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Inventory Management is a PLUS
  • Forklift Operation experience is a PLUS
  • Must have used and ERP system in the past (Required)
