Job Summary: The Shipping/Receiving Specialist is responsible for ensuring the needs of the internal and external customers are being met. The specialist will receive incoming materials and prepare products for shipment including loading and unloading delivery trucks. The Shipping/Receiving Specialist will also be responsible for operating the company delivery truck and associated duties. This position works Monday-Friday; 7:00AM – 3:00PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, verify, inspect, properly label and distribute or store all incoming deliveries of materials
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Process Bill of Ladings, load tags, and pick tickets
  • Process outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx and various freight forwarders
  • Assist in shipping logistics, finishing and palletizing of product coming off of the production line, ensuring accuracy of serial ranges on outgoing product and researching/resolving discrepancies
  • Collect all scrap pallets when time permits band and stage on the floor to be transferred to West
  • Collect Gaylord's, weigh, document on the scrap sheet, and load them on the scrap trailer, process paperwork and notify all parties.
  • Transfer HelloFresh Inventory to West and put away, take the inventory out of the rack and separate based on serial range based on jobs relabel process and depending on volume either ship out of West or transfer back to DGI.
  • Report incoming packages to appropriate department/end-user or stage in main isle for put away
  • Operate the company delivery truck;
  • Conduct inspections of vehicle before departure
  • Complete logs and report
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience working in shipping/receiving
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
  • A DOT Card or ability to pass DOT physical and driving test.
  • Knowledge of PC and database programs; experience working with an internal ERP system, printing labels, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and via email
  • Experienced in operating a Forklift and electric pallet jacks
  • Strong math aptitude
  • Experience working with FedEx Ship Manger® and UPS WorldShip®
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position and move about in an office setting for 100% of shift
  • Ability to push, lift and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift up to 65 lbs. during shift

Compensation details: 18-24 Hourly Wage
