The Shipping and Receiving Specialist coordinates inventory and logistics for incoming and outgoing company assets and the movement of products and supplies within a warehouse facility. Essential Functions:
- Maintain verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handle and disposition of materials, and keep warehouse inventory current
- Interpret orders to accurately pick from inventory
- Prepare orders for freight shipping- picking, packing, wrapping shipments
- Safely operate forklift
- Maintain cleanliness and safety procedures of warehouse
- Ensures OSHA and industry compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint)
- Knowledge of logistics operations, shipping procedures, and documents
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and operation procedures
- Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking and time management
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to read, speak, and write English
- Willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7/365 business environment
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in a warehouse/shipping/receiving environment
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Must pass a motor vehicle record check and employer and government (eQip or eApp) background checks after accepting a conditional offer of employment
