Shipping and Receiving SupervisorDescription: As the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor at SnackCraft, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This position will manage the materials department and its staff, ensuring that all items are received, stored, and distributed in an organized and timely manner. Department: MaterialsReports To: Warehouse Manager Primary Work Area: Warehouse, Office & Production FloorQualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in supervision/management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; AA Degree in Logistics or Management or related field; preferred.
  • Relevant experience in receiving and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP Software systems, NetSuite preferred.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Achieve positive results, balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale.
  • Leadership skills, such as the ability to motivate a team and provide feedback.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.
  • Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards.
  • Forklift License.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that drivers depart with appropriate shipping paperwork.
  • Using a warehouse management system prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight.
  • Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pick-up and delivery of goods.
  • Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
  • Monitor shipping orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents.
  • Interview, select, and train warehouse personnel;
  • Take corrective action of employees including counseling, monitoring and disciplining if needed;

  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies;
  • Ensure that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed
  • Supervise and train staff
  • Participate in cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor the accuracy of all receiving records, including inventory and stock levels
  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment
  • Identify and resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies.
  • Responsible for following all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
