As a Shipping Associate you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipment of customer orders, maintaining inventory, and assisting with general warehouse operations. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be working directly with our products by unloading and loading containers using a forklift and/or pallet jack. You will be moving products into their respective location in our large and organized warehouses. - Order Processing: Accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders based on shipping requests.
- Shipping Documentation: Prepare and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation for domestic and international shipments.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stock management, including inventory counts, restocking, and organizing products in the warehouse.
- Package Handling: Safely handle, label, and package products to ensure they arrive undamaged.
- Quality Control: Inspect shipments for accuracy and quality before sending them out.
- Loading/Unloading: Load and unload trucks using manual or powered equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all shipping and safety regulations, including hazardous material handling, OSHA, and company policies.
- Equipment Operation: Operate shipping and warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and stretch wrap machines.
- General Support: Assist with receiving, returns, and other warehouse tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and carry heavy items for extended periods.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx).
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Experience with international shipping processes and documentation.
Work Environment:
- The position is based in a warehouse environment, requiring standing for long periods and handling materials in varying temperatures.
- Safety equipment (e.g., steel-toe boots, gloves) may be required.
Schedule:
- Full-time; may require weekend or overtime hours during busy seasons.
- Monday through Friday 6:30 am-4:30 pm
