A local mill in Willard is looking for Shipping Associates to help with a variety of tasks in the mill and warehouse. Available Shifts: 2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm **Training on 1st shift for for 4 weeks prior to starting designated shift. Pay Rate: $19.00 depending on experience level Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to:
- Inspect , load, seal and complete all paperwork on all outbound truck loads of finished product.
- Load to maximum, but not to exceed legal net weights on all tractor and trailer combinations.
- Assist the shift miller as needed.
- Complete assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the warehouse/ packaging operation when necessary.
- Perform the above tasks without damage to company property.
- Ensure compliance with shipping schedule.
- Responsibility to proactively offer facility and system improvements.
- Responsibility to observe and report any unusual activity regarding site security.
- Responsibility to report any issues involving food safety sanitation.
- Actively participate in workplace safety and safety training.
- Responsibility to comply with all food safety and work place safety policies
- Perform other duties as required.
Temp-to-hire window: Able for permanent placement after 720 hours worked. Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Willingness to work all shifts and weekends when required.
- Physically able to perform all milling requirements including but not limited to:
- Ability to walk stairs and climb up and down bulk trailers during the course of a nine hour shift.
- General Cleaning
- General mill maintenance and repair
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
