Job Description: Shipping Associate, Seasonal/Temp to Hire | DenverJob Title: Shipping Associate Classification:Full-time, Seasonal (t emp to potential permanent hire) Duration:Seasonal position with hours through our busy seasonLocation: Denver, PA Description : Shipping Associates will perform andassist the Fulfillment Manager with all daily operations of the E-Commerce shipping department, including, but not limited to: compiling orders, creating batches for warehouse employees to pick, printing shipping labels and preparing items and boxing them for shipment. They will be expected to make sound shipping decisions that will ensure timely receipt of packages by our customers in the most cost-effective manner. Must be able to consistently left objects 30 -50 lbs.Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure good communication with co-workers and managementAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and managementMust be organized, detail oriented and hardworkingAbility to navigate basic computer programs to compile orders and print pick sheets for warehouse employees to completeWillingness to learn techniques to evaluate best shipping methods and make sound decisions with the companies and customers best interest in mindAbility to print shipping labels, evaluate packing standards, confirm orders are filled properly and be the final check for outgoing packagesAbility to evaluate and determine the most efficient packing technique to ensure orders will ship without damageCapability to execute proper packing techniques so that packages will ship quickly, cost effectively and safely to its destinationWillingness to keep shipping areas clean by sweeping up, throwing away trash and organizing at the end of each shiftAbility to keep packing stations stocked with necessary items to efficiently perform packing tasks throughout the dayMust have the ability and willingness to work at a fast pace, consistently producing high quality work and resultsMust be adaptable to changing priorities and varied responsibilitiesIt is mandatory that all employees obey safety rules and to exercise caution in all their activitiesFollow all safety policies and proceduresObserve all company policiesEducation and Experience:Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office programsForklift certification strongly preferredPrevious warehouse experience preferredTime Requirements:This is a Temp/Seasonal position with potential for Year-Round, Full-time work with varied time requirement depending on the seasonSome Saturdays are required to work. Shipping Associates work two Saturdays and have every third Saturday offMost Sundays off (possibility of 1 or 2 per year may be needed, depending on Seasonal business needs)Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50-pounds)Must be able to work on your feet for long periods (8 - 10 hours)Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons#J-18808-Ljbffr
