Job Description:
Title: Manufacturing - Shipping Clerk - 1st Shift Olsten is assisting a local client recruiting for a Shipping Clerkjob in Lumberton, NC. This is a long-term temporary to hire opportunity. A shipping Clerk manages the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products.Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments. Duties will include:
  • Keep Accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare all shipping documents and mailing labels.
  • Prepare invoices.
  • Work closely with customer service, accounting, etc. to ensure all components of processes are accurate and timely.
  • Verify product shipments.
  • Use Oracle, Ship Console, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Process Bills of Lading.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Fill in other jobs within the department as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Preferred Skills: Use of Oracle and D365 systems (preferred but not required), use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required as well as have good communication skills and be able to operate a forklift (sit down, stand up reach). Must be able to work flexible hours as demands require.
These are First Shift positions. First shift hours are 8am to 4:30pm. Pay for this position is $15/hr. plus overtime as needed. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity.
