General Job Description: As a Shipping Clerk, you will sort and organize completed prescriptions and prepare product for shipment. Base Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sorts and organizes completed prescriptions
- Prepares shipments
- Performs supply inventory and places orders
- Receives and distributes orders to the appropriate department
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements Required Base Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task and work with other members of the shipping and distribution team
- Understanding of basic production processes for packaging and shipping
- Work to develop continuous improvements in the shipping department
- Basic understanding of, or the ability to learn, locations and organizational structure of the Facilities we serve
- Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of medications
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
- Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance
- FedEx Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a Plus
- Experience working in a Commercial Pharmacy is a Plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand/be on feet for duration of an eight (8) hour shift
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
