About The Opportunity

Process deliveries, update shipment dimensional data, route and contact carriers. Assist in resolving shipment issues with multiple departments. Process all outbound shipments and manage the associated shipping documents. Champion new software systems, requiring leadership, training of others and traveling to other locations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Schedule deliveries based on available inventory, anticipated inventory (based on production schedule), and order promise dates. The goal is to meet all customer expectations related to customer requested ship dates.

2. Plan shipments and distribution of work to personal based on inventory availability.

3. Create pick lists, bills of lading, custom documents, etc. to support the shipping process

4. Check sales orders and process deliveries in accordance with shipping instructions.

5. Communicate with customer support and corporate logistics to process shipments.

6. Route shipments with ORBIS carrier base or customer carrier.

7. Calculate cube and dimensional information for shipments.

8. Post all deliveries the same day, including scanning.

9. Manage the daily truckload appointment schedule; interacting and directing drivers.

10. Schedule loading and unloading trucks to minimize turnaround time.

11. Expedite parts required for on-time shipments (based on production schedule).

12. Review shipping performance daily with Materials Manager and Warehouse Team Leaders.

13. Ensure inventory accuracy as it pertains to shipping and receiving functions.

14. Where applicable, accurately receive raw materials and handle returns.

15. Follow up with quality problems with necessary plant personnel to resolve issues.

16. Record all inventory transactions via the SAP business system.

17. Performs functions with serialized inventory and Warehouse Management System.

18. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification:

Level Required - High school diploma or equivalent

Forklift certification

Work Experience:

Required

* 1-3 years of relevant work experience

* 3-5 years of relevant work experience

12. Knowledge of logistics and shipping procedures.

13. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs.

14. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

15. Ability to easily navigate web-based applications
