Shipping and Logistics Coordinator
We are an established and growing women's apparel designer/manufacturer/wholesaler located in NYC who is looking for an experienced Shipping and Logistics Coordinator. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and able to accurately manage and process a high volume of outgoing shipments in an organized and efficient manner while maintaining an accurate inventory of incoming and outgoing merchandise. This person will be working in conjunction with another senior coordinator to share in the responsibilities of the department.
Responsibilities Include
Inventory Management
- Tracking incoming containers of finished goods against what was purchased from our overseas vendors to identify potential overages/shortages
- Communicating with production department to keep informed on any goods that will potentially arrive late or early
- Keeping management and buyers aware of early/late deliveries of goods
- Logging in receipt of goods from containers into inventory
- Keeping an accurate ongoing inventory and monitoring aging across multiple warehouse locations
- Maintain and send weekly inventory reports to buyers and to management
- Working with management to ensure all inventory is sold at the end of the season
- Managing periodic physical inventory to verify accuracy with warehouses
Shipping and Logistics/EDI
- Monitor sales order delivery dates and cross reference against incoming shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Follow logistics routing guides to ensure that all guidelines are followed
- Send pick tickets and instructions to the warehouse to follow for pickups and deliveries to the customer
- Ensure Bill of Ladings match what was shipped and send to accounting for processing
- Familiarity with EDI - ASN, PO, Invoice
Qualifications & Requirements
- A bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in the key responsibilities identified above
- Must be proficient in Excel - A2000 a plus
- Familiarity with EDI (DiCentral) a plus
- Ability to multitask and adhere to reporting deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, focused team
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and process enhancement
- Experience in fashion industry a plus
- Experience with TJX routing guide a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
