In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the shipping process, from coordinating with carriers to managing inventory levels and ensuring the on-time delivery of goods.Job Overview:As the Shipping Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective management of our shipping operations. You will work closely with our Site coordinators, carriers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our supply chain.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the receipt of completed inventory, storage management and shipment dispatch from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of serial tracked goods.
- Managing and optimizing shipping schedules, routes, and carriers to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Coordinating with Sales, Site coordination and Field Service staff to ensure proper handling and packaging of products for shipment.
- Maintaining accurate records of shipments, including tracking information, delivery dates, and supporting accounting during audits.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve Forward Stocking Hub operations and meet company key goals.
- Communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve shipping-related inquiries or problems.
- Monitoring industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with shipping laws and regulations.
- Leading and motivating shipping team to achieve departmental objectives in a safe, efficient manner.
- Collaboration with Manufacturing Plant, teams such as purchasing, sales, and QC to coordinate shipping activities and meet customer support needs.
Qualified Candidates Must Possess:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years proven experience in shipping, & logistics management fields.
- Proven track record in creation of international shipping documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in teaching and the development of staff entering new roles.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with mobile equipment operation with an emphasis on accuracy and accountability.
