Job Description A Shipping Material Handler, handles, moves, and stores materials within the warehouse. The Material Handler's main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory status, and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders. LOCATION: Onsite- Westfield, INHOURS: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pmRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate powered industrial equipment safely
- Use computer to access Oracle and Discoverer applications
- Use of RF scanners
- Move finished goods from the manufacturing area to storage
- Schedule appointments with outbound carriers
- Professionally communicate to internal and external customers
- Prepare outbound freight for shipment
- Prepare and validate proper documentation for finished good shipments
- Enter supplier portal info with external customer base
- Load outbound freight
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must pass a BAFTE background check for the handling of pyrotechnics.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Regular attendance and ability to work overtime when needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Prior Material Handling experience
- Prior experience with powered industrial equipment
- Prior experience working with RF scanners and computers
WORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS:
- The ability to step up and down, balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting, seeing, observing, grasping, and repetitive motion.
- The ability to lift up to 40 pounds constantly, 60 pounds occasionally, and team lifting more than 60 pounds infrequently.
- The ability for close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
- The ability to work with dirt/dust, noise, and work with various temperature conditions.
- The use of high visibility outerwear and toe protection is required.
