Job Description:

Position Summary: Responsible for the organization and coordination of office operations and procedures to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The Shipping Office Lead will oversee the office functions for the Read Window Products shipping office. This position will review daily, weekly and monthly reports and performance measurements for the shipping department and provide useful recommendations for improvement. This position will assist in cost reductions by improving methods and limiting controllable expenses.

Position Responsibilities:

* Manage the daily activities of all inbound and outbound shipments including but not limited to: scheduling with various freight carriers, preparing packing lists and confirming arrival of shipments at destination.

* Keep daily log of all outgoing shipments. Document all shipping records on the server. Reconcile invoices from freight carriers, maintaining records of expenses incurred for logistics and bill to appropriate projects.

* Assign and monitor administrative responsibilities within the warehouse.

* Coordinate and assigns task / duties to all warehouse associates to ensure maximum efficiency.

* Establish and monitor procedures for record keeping.

* Prepare reports on daily and weekly basis.

* Coordinate schedules, appointments, and bookings.

* Monitor and maintain office supply inventory.

* Adhere to all safety procedures.

* Maintain an orderly and clean work area.

* Perform other related duties as assigned by Distribution Manager

Role Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:

* Employee should have knowledge and understanding of company and corporate shipping and receiving operations.

* 3-5 years experience in a shipping or receiving office position or related experience.

* Ability to communicate effectively with other corporate functions and suppliers.

* Solid decision-making skills and strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office suite.

* Strong knowledge of shipping operations, methods, and practices.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

* Commitment to company values.

* Web-based shipping protocol for carriers.

* Domestic/international shipping document specialist.
