Summary: A Shipping & Packaging Associate examines all material for quality standards in preparation for shipment to customer, crates and packages all product shipped and coordinates shipment of product to customers. Ensures all shipments are consistent with the applied customer orders and meet the QC and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Stock Examine and quality inspect all produced product to match customer orders.
- Production Stock Crate and assemble granite pieces to conform to ordered product.
- Develop bills of lading and coordinate/prepare finished orders for shipment.
- Validate shipping addresses to customer orders to ensure correct destination information.
- Load trucks with customer orders for shipment.
- Perform team duties for the delivery and installation of memorials.
- Load setting truck with customer product to be delivered and/or set at designated cemeteries.
- Process shipping paperwork/bills of lading to factory office every day for shipments that day.
- Monitor shipping requirements to maximize shipping output/volume.
- Safely operate fork truck to move product throughout plant.
- Safely operate overhead cranes to move product throughout plant.
- Participate in physical inventory counting and documenting.
- Other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Have transportation to work

- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Present a clean, well-groomed appearance
- Able to drive and handle fork lift trucks.
- Able to read and understand order processing procedures
- Able and willing to follow company policies including safety and OSHA regulations.
- At times will come in contact with customers visiting the facility and must maintain a clean and professional appearance that aligns with company standards. This includes being presentable and dressed appropriately for the job.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in general production/factory/warehouse operations and in the use of material handling equipment such as fork lifts
Work Environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
