Job DescriptionDepartment: ShippingJob Title: Packing HelperReports To: Team Leader, following the direction of Shipping Management Shift/Hours: 6:45 am- 6:45 pm/ 2-days on/2 days off/every other weekend (rotating shift) Starting Rate: $19.47 per hourWe are seeking a detail-oriented Packing Helper for our a shipping department. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our aluminum products are packaged safely and efficiently. As a Packing Helper, you will assist in various tasks, from preparing materials for packaging to supporting the packing process to meet the demands of our production schedule. You will work closely with machine operators and other team members to ensure a seamless workflow, maintaining the quality standards that our customers expect. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions carefully. You will also be responsible for adhering to safety regulations while working in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Assist in packing aluminum extrusions according to company standards and specifications.
  • Prepare packaging materials and materials for shipment.
  • Monitor and confirm the quality of products before packing to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient packing area.
  • Label packages accurately and ensure proper documentation is completed for shipments.
  • Unload and inspect incoming materials as needed for packing operations.
  • Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.
What Your Will Need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and be on your feet for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packing and labeling.
  • Basic understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changes in the production schedule.
  • Must pass company background check and drug screen.
