The purpose of your role as a Shipping + Receiving Manager
Manages day-to-day operations of a warehouse. Develops and implements processes and procedures governing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and/or supplies. Supports the organization's supply chain strategy through maintenance of appropriate inventory levels and timely distribution of goods.
Manage Shipping and Receiving Process & Materials in Warehouse:
* Receive material - check freight bill and purchase order against physical shipment for purchase orders, damage, etc.
* Locate and prepare material for shipping
* Pick tool orders for shipment to job sites, restock tools in warehouse, repair defective tools, and building maintenance
* Inspect shipments to ensure correct order fulfillment.
* Coordinate unloading with crafts and note field stores requisition
* Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
* Track and trace goods while they are en route to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary.
* Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
Warehouse Operations:
* Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company policies and vision.
* Schedule truck drivers for delivery of equipment/tools/materials to job site. This includes visits to suppliers/vendors as required.
* Receive and log-in deliveries from suppliers/vendors, utilizing forklift as required.
* Document supplier, date received, job codes, purchase orders, and team/division notification.
* Enter/track tools through the inventory management software
* Oversee maintenance of warehouse delivery trucks and forklift.
Leadership:
* Manage team to include: timesheet verification and approval; oversight of Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance/inspections; schedule work hours as directed by project
* Foster a safety-centric work culture including compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards (steel toed boots, hardhats, etc.)
* Contribute to desired work culture.
* Create an environment conducive to long-term retention of team through effective teambuilding, communication, motivation, and conflict resolution
What we're looking for in you
* 6+ years of building maintenance and material control
* Knowledge of shipping and receiving activities, craft jurisdiction (on union projects) for off-loading material.
* Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical
* Basic computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and utilizing inventory management software
* Ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team

Pay Range: $27.52 - $41.29 per hour
