Job Description: The shipper and receiver are responsible for accurately packaging orders per customer requirements, loading orders on the appropriate vehicle per customer request, unloading of inbound shipments, putting inbound material away for future distribution. • Be able to read and understand pick slips which dictate order information. • Properly complete all pick slips associated with customer orders • Ability to occasionally lift 70 lbs., and ability to repetitively lift 1 to 25 lbs. • Pack product to order specifications. • Work with GSO and applying diplomatic notes and other required shipping documents. • Maintain contact with vendors/suppliers to ensure proper terms and conditions are met. • Maintain clear and legible counts on all packaging. • Understand part numbers and locations in Oracle ERP • Understand how to move product in Oracle ERP to ensure accuracy. • Turn in paperwork to Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. • Operate a forklift for the purpose of loading and unloading trucks. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. • Any other tasks assigned by Management. • Ability to operate forklift, experience is highly preferred. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge, and abilities that incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably with or without a reasonable accommodation. • HS Diploma or GED preferred. • Higher level of experience with shipping is preferred not required. Type, amount, and frequency of physical effort typically required to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably; including the work positions in which the effort is applied, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Duties of job will include extended time in tool inventory room, maintenance shop and on the plant floor. Not all the operational plant floor is climate controlled. Must be comfortable in a heavy manufacturing environment. Self-motivated to organize and strategize inventory processes. Who are we?
