Job Purpose The SRW Operator is responsible for warehouse operations activities including shipping and receiving, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records, and overseeing the storage of surplus inventory and property. The SRW operator is also responsible for packaging finished goods from the production line and packing finished goods orders for customer shipment. The person in this role may also serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area, distribute supplies and equipment, and perform other related work as required. Principal Accountabilities MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep work area clean
- Adhere to safety and environmental rules
- Control and operate equipment safely
- Provide value to our customers through effective operations of assigned work area and support to the facility
- Support Supervisors and team in training and cross-training efforts
- Deliver orders to faculty and staff
- Ship canceled and damaged items back to vendors as appropriate
- Forklift license may be required for position and will be issued by Mitsubishi
- Other duties as assigned

- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- One to two years of shipping and receiving experience
- Two years of manufacturing experience
- Forklift experience
Knowledge:
- Must be proficient with wood working equipment, such as saws, and pneumatic nail and staple guns
- Math - specifically, using a tape measure and a solid understanding of the metric system
Skills:
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Legible handwriting for document completion
- Quality conscious
- Organized
- Self-motivated
- Able to work alone or in a team setting

Knowledge / Skills / Experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment to include safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional PPE as required
- Correctable eyesight required
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, forward reaching, and twisting
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and above shoulder reaching
- Able to stand for extended period of time
- Dexterity manipulation required for use of hand tools and light equipment
- Must be able to push/pull material using hand cart or pallet jack
- Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.

- The hourly rate is $17 an hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
