Shipping and Receiving AssistantWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Duration: 2 - 3 Months with a possible extension based on business needs Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing data within various systems that track receipts and shipments of allfinished, semi-finished, and raw materials. You will monitor daily exceptions and troubleshoot issues that prevent ticket completion, ensuring all transactions are accurately captured in systems across North American locations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Logistics, Planning, Inventory Accounting, Master Data, Accounts Payable, Customer Service, and IT is essential to ensure prompt and accurate data management. Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze governing documentationshipments and receipts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor and validate data in internal and external systems, including SAP, OIS, and PLS, capturing shipments and receipts for inbound and outbound goods and third-party sites.
  • Troubleshoot issues causing data imbalances and edit systems as required to resolve ticketing issues for goods receipts and shipments.
  • Collaborate with commercial peers to ensure accurate data configuration for all product movements and assist in timely invoicing to customers and payments to vendors.
  • Work with the Inventory Accounting Team to reconcile activities, troubleshoot imbalances, and communicate necessary inventory adjustments.
  • Assist in the diversion and re-shipment process in coordination with Logistics, Customer Service, and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Support various commercial department projects, system enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean desk policy and adhere to data governance standards to enhance system performance and compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a role involving data validation, data reconciliation, and troubleshooting system errors.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail and accountability for the accuracy of data.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation and process enhancement.
